For over 100 years, Wiscraft, Inc. has been dedicated to providing career opportunities for people who are legally blind or legally blind with additional disabilities. Wiscraft provides an important employment opportunity for industrial manufacturing and production jobs to help many people who are legally blind overcome their vision limitations and lead successful lives.
While there are some employment opportunities for legally blind men and women in private industry, those opportunities are remote for the people Wiscraft employs – the legally blind person with additional disabilities, few skills and limited work experience.
Wiscraft customarily provides employment for 30-50 people who are legally blind, ranging in age from 21 years to 68 years and whose length of employment ranges from 1 to 35 years.

Wiscraft is also committed to providing employment for people who are legally blind in supervisory and administrative positions. Over 30% of our management and supervisory staff is comprised of people who are legally blind or visually impaired.  Wiscraft provides long-term employment and a good fringe benefit package (health insurance, retirement, vacation, and holidays) to its eligible employees. Unfortunately, the national unemployment rate for people who are legally blind or multi-disabled blind, is 70%. In Milwaukee, Wiscraft exists to combat this situation.
